Sligo Summer Festival 2019
August 8, 2019 @ 8:00 am - August 11, 2019 @ 5:00 pm
Once again, an array of National and Local headliners are set to grace Stephen St Car Park in Sligo town centre for 4 nights in August.
The Sligo Summer Festival has been pulling crowds from all over the country for six years now and it’s set to wedge the car park once again.
Example is arguably the biggest act the festival has ever booked and is guaranteed to have the car park wedged very early on Friday August 10th. With a long list of radio hits such as ‘Kickstarts’ and ‘Changed the Way You Kiss Me’ and a massive online following, he will be drawing crowds from miles away.
The Saturday night will see a magical Irish double headline with endless sing along after sing along hits as Paddy Casey and Mundy will have the crowds entertained for hours. Expect to hear the crowd singing the likes of ‘July’, ‘Mexico’, ‘Saint & Sinners’, ‘The Lucky One’ and many more late into the night.
Country fans will be ecstatic to hear that the Sunday will see a list of country stars grace the stage with headliner, Mike Denver finishing the night. With the seemingly endless popularity of country music in Ireland in the last few years, it is quite possible the Sunday could bring the largest crowd of all so get in early.
The Thursday has now become the ‘Kieran Quinn’ slot and we hope it never changes. You could trawl the whole country and not find a better man to put together a musical extravaganza like Kieran can. 80’s fans are in for a real treat as that is this years theme. Expect a wealth of amazing local talent on stage and as always, a few unexpected guests.
Sligo Summer Festival, now in its seventh year, has already successfully hosted six hugely attended festivals since 2012. It has attracted thousands of people since its’ inaugural year and this year promises to be no different.
Previous years has seen Aslan, Sister Sledge, Boney M, Wheatus,The Riptide Movement, Ryan Sheridan, The Saw Doctors, The Strypes, Jerry Fish, The Stunning and Sharon Shannon & Mundy headline with many other amazing Irish acts also grace the stage in what has become one of Irelands biggest festivals.
